Military & Government Tree Services

Headquartered five minutes from the gate at Naval Support Activity Mid-South. Installation and installation-adjacent tree work across seven states since 2001.

We are a Millington company. So is the base.

Aaron’s Tree Service has been headquartered in Millington, Tennessee since 2001 — the same town as Naval Support Activity Mid-South, the Navy’s Human Resources Center of Excellence, home to Navy Personnel Command and Navy Recruiting Command and more than 7,500 military, civilian and contract personnel. It is one of the largest single employers in the state of Tennessee, and it is about sixteen miles from downtown Memphis.

Working on and around an installation is not the same as working in a subdivision, and the difference is almost never about the trees. It is about access control, escort requirements, contractor check-in, work windows that fit around mission operations rather than around the contractor, and crews that behave appropriately around restricted areas. We have been doing that since the beginning because the base has always been down the road.

What we do for installations and government clients

  • Housing area tree maintenance — family housing, unaccompanied housing, common grounds
  • Roadway, right-of-way and access road clearance
  • Hazard tree identification and removal with written documentation
  • Storm response and debris clearance — getting roads and gates open first
  • Grounds maintenance contractor support and subcontracting to primes
  • Land clearing and vegetation management at project scale
  • Crane-assisted removals around structures, flight lines and infrastructure
  • Tree inventories and risk assessments for facility liability files

Why installations call an outside crew after a storm

Because the storm did not only hit the base. When a system moves through a region, every tree company within thirty miles is booked within hours, and the installation is competing for the same crews as every homeowner in the county. A company that arrives with its own equipment, its own logistics and its own people — and that already understands how to get on and off an installation — is a materially different proposition.

Working with prime contractors

A lot of our installation work comes through grounds maintenance and facilities primes rather than directly. If you hold a base grounds contract and need a tree subcontractor who will not embarrass you at the gate, that is a conversation we are glad to have. Certificate of insurance, additional insured, and documentation that codes cleanly are all standard from us.

Bonding, registrations and set-aside status: tell us what your solicitation requires and we will give you a straight answer about what we currently hold and what we can obtain for the project — rather than a vague yes on a bid.
